The Universal Audio Volt 4 Max is a next-generation 12-in / 6-out desktop USB audio interface designed for musicians, producers, engineers, podcasters, and content creators who want professional studio sound with powerful onboard processing and expanded connectivity. Featuring 32-bit / 192 kHz conversion, dual Tone Shaping Preamps, Max compression, speaker switching, a built-in talkback microphone, full-colour Smart Display, Auto-Gain, Clip Protection, ADAT expansion, MIDI I/O, and a comprehensive UAD software bundle, Volt 4 Max is built to become the centre of a modern recording setup.
Built by the same Universal Audio team behind the legendary Apollo interfaces, Volt 4 Max features two digitally controlled mic preamps with 60 dB of available gain and three harmonic character modes — Warmth, Focus, and Shine. These provide Tube, Solid State, and British Class-A-inspired tonal options, allowing vocals and instruments to take on additional colour and character before they reach your recording software.
Max Processing adds onboard real-time compression with six musical presets designed for vocals, guitars, bass, and other sources. Inspired by classic studio compressors including the LA-2A and 1176, Max Processing can be combined with the three Tone Shaping modes to provide more than 18 tonal combinations directly from the interface.
Two mic / line inputs and two front-panel Hi-Z instrument inputs make it easy to record vocals, guitars, basses, and stereo sources, while additional line inputs provide connectivity for outboard equipment. Independent 48V phantom power is available on each microphone channel for condenser microphones.
For larger studio setups, Volt 4 Max includes ADAT or S/PDIF optical input, allowing up to eight additional digital channels at 44.1 or 48 kHz. MIDI In and Out provides convenient connection for keyboards, synthesisers, drum machines, and controllers, while the onboard USB hub can connect and power compatible peripherals.
The full-colour Smart Display provides clear at-a-glance feedback for inputs, levels, settings, and gain reduction. Auto-Gain automatically sets recording levels in seconds, while Clip Protection catches unexpected peaks to help keep recordings clean and distortion-free.
Volt 4 Max also features two stereo monitor outputs with Main and Alt speaker switching, making it easy to compare mixes across two different sets of studio monitors. Two studio-quality headphone outputs provide monitoring for collaboration, while the built-in talkback microphone allows easy communication with performers during recording sessions.
Built-in Loopback makes Volt 4 Max ideal for podcasting, livestreaming, and content creation by allowing live sources to be combined with computer audio. Full integration with the UAD Console app and LUNA provides session recall and low-latency cue mixes for an efficient studio workflow.
Volt 4 Max includes the UAD Volt Studio Bundle and a comprehensive collection of third-party software, giving you professional EQs, compressors, reverbs, guitar and bass amps, instruments, and production tools right out of the box.

All orders over $200 will be automatically eligible for FREE Shipping Australia Wide, if you order is under $200 there will be a flat rate of $12.

All of our shipments have tracking numbers available and we cover every single unit by our own shipping insurance.
Online orders are normally processed within 1-3 business days. Once processed, your order should take between 1-8 business days to arrive depending on your location. Please note that your order may take up to 10 business days to arrive from the day you place your order.
If it transpires that the product is out of stock due to a stock discrepancy and/or there will be a delay in shipment, we will contact you within 2 business days of placing your order and give you the option of waiting or cancelling your order. The products we advertise online should show if they are in stock or not. We do our best to keep the website stock count up to date, but there may be an occasional error.

Deliver is made during the hours from 8:00am till 5:30pm Monday to Friday. As such, please ensure you nominate an address which is capable of receiving goods during 8am and 5.30pm. Given the restrictions on PO Box deliveries we cannot deliver larger sized items to a PO Box.
If for any reason our selected carriers don't service your area we will contact you before processing your order if this applys to you.
Returns Policy
If you wish to return an item which is not damaged or faulty in any way and you have simply changed your mind or made the wrong decision, you must let us know within 7 days of receiving the item. We will not agree to refund an item because you simply changed your mind or made the wrong decision if we have not been advised of your intention within 7 days of receiving your item. Once we have provided a return authority, it is the buyer’s responsibility to return the item, at their own costs within 30 days from original purchase. If the item is returned with any damage or alteration to its original packaging, we will refund the item subject to applying a minimum 15% restocking fee. We will not refund the costs of the initial shipping charges.
