For more than 40 years, Ibanez has pioneered new frontiers in bass development, pushing the boundaries of conventional designs for bass players of all styles, affording new avenues of expression and creativity. This spirit of exploration has led to the creation of some of the most successful and popular production basses of all time. Following this same drive to bring new and relevant ideas to the musical forefront is what serves as the basis for this ongoing project, dubbed the Ibanez Bass Workshop. The impetus behind each one of these unique instruments comes from a desire by the Ibanez bass development team to satisfy the particular needs of many players. These inventions may not be for everyone, but for those who yearn to explore new sonic vistas through the medium of bass, the Ibanez Bass Workshop project may give you just what you're looking for.

5pc Maple/Walnut neck with Graphite reinforcement rods
The 5pc Maple/Walnut neck provides tonal clarity and superior attack. The Graphite reinforcement rods provide massive sustain and excellent stability.
Panga Panga fretboard
Panga Panga features a beautiful wood grain which produces a tight low and mid range, along with a sharp attack on the high end.
Medium Stainless Steel frets
The Stainless Steel frets are durable and long-lasting.
Ash top / Ash / Okoume wing body
The Ash top imbues this bass with an exotic appearance and the Ash/Okoume body provides superior attack, a bright solid sound, and rich sustain.
T1 pickups
The T1 pickup is a humbucker featuring two separate, individually mounted coils that provide tight bass response, punchy mid-range, and clear high-end. It offers flexible voicing suitable for various genres, and the height of each coil can be set individually for highly nuanced adjustments to the tone. On top of its great sound, the physical design features rounded edges for enhanced ergonomic comfort when using the pickup as a thumb rest. Moreover, the individually mounted coils allow them to be positioned slightly offset from one another. This makes the surface of the pickup where the player rests their thumb directly parallel with the strings, which is not typical with most multi-scale basses. This design greatly enhances the comfort and playability of the instrument.
Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ
The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ is a refinement of simple, straightforward EQ control. The Boost and Cut for the Mid Control are each centered on slightly different frequencies, delivering a preset range of the most favorable bass tones.
MR5S bridge
The MR5S bridge has adjustable saddles for variable string spacing by +/- 1.5mm, answering every bassist’s specific string spacing needs.
EQ bypass switch (passive tone control on treble pot)
The EQ bypass control offers precision tonal adjustments, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypass is activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit.
3-way Mid frequency switch
The 3-way Mid frequency switch allows players to choose from three Mid Frequency options and provides great tonal variety.
Hardshell case included
The Ibanez Hardshell case gives extreme protection for your instrument.
Special Features
37–35 inch multi scale
The 37-inch scale length of the B string provides stronger tension for enhanced clarity and projection, even when drop tuned. The 35-inch scale on the G string offers balanced tension with that of the B, and the narrower distance between the frets allows for smoother, more comfortable fretting.
Neck-through construction
The neck-through construction contributes to massive sustain and smooth access to high fretboard positions.

All orders over $150 will be automatically eligible for FREE Shipping Australia Wide, if you order is under $150 there will be a flat rate of $10.
Belfield Music is well known for its top online customer service. We treat all online customers with the same excellent service we give to our in store customer. We will ensure that you receive all the support you need while your goods are in transit and ensure the goods arrive promptly. All of our shipments have tracking numbers available and we cover every single unit by our own shipping insurance.
Online orders are normally processed within 1-3 business days. Once processed, your order should take between 1-8 business days to arrive depending on your location. Please note that your order may take up to 10 business days to arrive from the day you place your order.
If it transpires that the product is out of stock due to a stock discrepancy and/or there will be a delay in shipment, we will contact you within 2 business days of placing your order and give you the option of waiting or cancelling your order. The products we advertise online should show if they are in stock or not. We do our best to keep the website stock count up to date, but there may be an occasional error.

Deliver is made during the hours from 8:00am till 5:30pm Monday to Friday. As such, please ensure you nominate an address which is capable of receiving goods during 8am and 5.30pm. Given the restrictions on PO Box deliveries we cannot deliver larger sized items to a PO Box.
If for any reason our selected carriers don't service your area we will contact you before processing your order if this applys to you.
Returns Policy
If you wish to return an item which is not damaged or faulty in any way and you have simply changed your mind or made the wrong decision, you must let us know within 7 days of receiving the item. We will not agree to refund an item because you simply changed your mind or made the wrong decision if we have not been advised of your intention within 7 days of receiving your item. Once we have provided a return authority, it is the buyer’s responsibility to return the item, at their own costs within 30 days from original purchase. If the item is returned with any damage or alteration to its original packaging, we will refund the item subject to applying a minimum 15% restocking fee. We will not refund the costs of the initial shipping charges.
