Product Information
The Behringer DF1000 Intelligent Feedback Destroyer is an automatic audio feedback suppression processor designed to help sound engineers achieve cleaner, louder and more reliable sound reinforcement. Engineered to detect and eliminate problematic feedback frequencies, the DF1000 provides an effective solution for live performances, houses of worship, conference rooms, small clubs and professional audio installations where microphone feedback can disrupt sound quality.
Using intelligent feedback detection technology, the DF1000 continuously analyses incoming audio signals to identify frequencies responsible for unwanted acoustic feedback. When a problematic frequency is detected, the processor automatically applies an ultra-narrow notch filter to suppress the feedback while minimising the impact on surrounding frequencies. This targeted approach helps preserve the natural character and clarity of the audio signal while reducing unwanted ringing and howling.
By suppressing troublesome frequencies, the DF1000 allows sound systems to achieve greater usable gain before feedback, helping engineers maintain clear vocals and consistent audio levels. Its automatic operation reduces the need for constant manual equalisation adjustments, making it particularly useful in environments with changing microphone positions, speaker configurations and acoustic conditions.
Designed for straightforward operation, the Behringer DF1000 offers a practical set-and-forget approach to feedback management. Whether used in a permanent installation or a live sound system, it helps provide dependable feedback control so performers, presenters and sound engineers can concentrate on delivering a professional audio experience.
