With a small body profile reminiscent of a paired-down SJ-200, it has classic Gibson acoustic visual appeal, and the smaller body size makes it extremely comfortable and easy to hold and play. It produces superior warmth and a balanced tone due to Gibson’s exceptional handcrafted construction techniques, including a dovetail neck-to-body joint, a radiused top, and traditional scalloped X-bracing. The solid Sitka spruce top is beautifully finished in gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe solid rosewood back and sides are finished in satin nitrocellulose lacquer and feature multi-ply top and single-ply back binding. The cutaway body delivers excellent access to the entire length of the fretboard. The satin nitrocellulose lacquer-finished mahogany neck features an Advanced Response profile that many players feel is the perfect size–it’s not too slender or too beefy and sits comfortably in the hand for most players.
