Building on the popular MPK workflow, this upgraded controller combines a responsive mini keybed, RGB MPC performance pads, assignable controls and powerful generative features to help musicians develop ideas, create tracks and perform with confidence.

At the heart of the MPK Mini Plus II is an upgraded 37-key mini keyboard that provides greater comfort, playability and expressive control across a three-octave range. Dedicated pitch bend and modulation wheels allow for dynamic musical expression, while eight assignable 360-degree knobs and a push encoder provide hands-on access to software instruments, effects and production parameters. A full-colour LCD display with 160 x 80 resolution delivers clear visual feedback for navigating controls and interacting with compatible software.

Eight velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB MPC pads bring classic Akai Professional performance capabilities to the controller. Ideal for finger drumming, triggering samples, launching clips and playing chord progressions, these responsive pads provide expressive control for both studio production and live performance. Advanced Arpeggiator, Chord and Note Repeat modes are complemented by creative functions including Glitch, Mutate and Strum, offering new ways to generate patterns, transform musical ideas and explore unexpected rhythmic and melodic possibilities.

The MPK Mini Plus II offers deep integration with popular digital audio workstations, MPC Standalone and MPC Desktop environments. Musicians can access transport controls, navigate tracks, browse plugin presets and control software parameters directly from the keyboard. Real-time display feedback and intuitive control mapping help streamline production workflows, allowing creators to focus on making music rather than navigating menus.

Comprehensive connectivity makes the MPK Mini Plus II equally suitable for computer-based production and external hardware setups. A USB-C connection provides power and MIDI communication, while a dedicated MIDI DIN output enables control of compatible hardware synthesizers and MIDI equipment. Three 3.5 mm CV/Gate outputs provide additional integration with modular and analogue synthesizers, and a 6.35 mm sustain pedal input supports expressive keyboard performance. USB-C power allows operation from a computer, compatible USB power adaptor or power bank.

To help musicians start creating immediately, the MPK Mini Plus II includes an extensive software collection featuring more than 1,000 production-ready sounds from AIR Music Tech, Moog Music and Akai Professional. The included Studio Instrument Collection, Native Instruments Komplete Select (Akai Edition) and MPC Beats provide a broad selection of instruments, sounds and production tools. Combining portability, expressive performance and extensive hardware and software integration, the Akai Professional MPK Mini Plus II is a powerful creative centrepiece for modern music
